14 Tampa chefs in one room tonight. Here's the rest of your week.
June 25th to July 1st, 2026 ยท The Bay, Simplified
Juneteenth wrapped last week with Curtis Hixon still humming from the crowd. Independence Day is nine days out. In between, Tampa Bay has a full calendar that most people will miss. Tonight is the Creative Loafing Meet the Chefs event at The Vault with 14 local chefs who are actually running the food scene right now. Comedian Godfrey takes the Funny Bone in Ybor for three nights starting Friday. St. Pete Pride is one of the largest celebrations in the Southeast this month, drawing 300,000 people to a city that does it correctly. Bosc in Hyde Park and Fusillo in the EDGE District are both recent openings that locals still have not caught up to. The Lightning made a significant roster move before July 1 free agency. And if you want a free nightly event on the Gulf that most Tampa Bay residents have never attended despite it running every single night since 1995, keep reading. Full breakdown below.
