Alright Tampa, this week is not the one to stay home. Memorial Day weekend is here, new spots just opened, there's a seafood festival with FREE crawfish, and the weather is actually cooperating for once. I've got a lot to cover so let's get into it.
This Week at a Glance
- 1.Florida Seafood & Caribbean Music Festival, Curtis Hixon, Saturday. Free crawfish.
- 2.The Sapphire just opened. 17,000 square feet of 1950s supper club energy in Westshore.
- 3.Howard & Platt finally opens on SoHo in the old TC Choy's spot.
- 4.One Direction Dance Party at The Orpheum, Friday night in Ybor.
๐ฅ **The Sapphire opens in Westshore.** 17,000 square feet, live bands, DJs, tableside flair. Think 1950s supper club energy but actually current. Soft opened May 15 at 4410 W. Boy Scout Blvd. The kind of place that photographs well and tastes better.
๐ฝ๏ธ **Howard & Platt takes over TC Choy's.** South Howard has been waiting on this one. Full restaurant and bar moving into a space that's been sitting empty too long. Opening this month on SoHo.
๐ต **One Direction Dance Party at The Orpheum.** Friday, May 22. Two hours of 1D and boy band classics in Ybor. Look, don't overthink it. Just go.
